Great Summer Kickoff

Greetings Friends,

We hope this message finds you well! This summer is off to a great start and we are happy to share some exciting updates! Vida Outreach continues to serve impoverished families in Baja California, Mexico and with your support lives continue to be transformed. Here are some highlights so far that were made possible by your support:

TJ Screen Printing Shop Completed!

We are joyful to announce that we have completed the screen-printing shop project in Tijuana. In each step, from finishing construction on the community center building to finding the right equipment, we learned and grew in patience and perseverance. We hope that this screen-printing shop will bring needed job skills training and employment in the community and help the many outreach programs that Familia de Dios provides to the impoverished families of Las Carretas, Tijuana become more sustainable. We want to thank each person who partnered with us in this venture and who helped make this possible, we could not have done it without you. The screen-printing shop has already taken on a couple of accounts in Baja this summer and hopes to expand more in the fall as they dial in their printing process and training. Thank you again to all of our supporters!

House Building in La Mision

We had the privilege of hosting a menโ€™s group from Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church and building a new home for the Ramirez family in La Mision. The Ramirez Family has 3 lovely children and they all shared one room (including kitchen area) until this house build. The house build was designed and led by Michael, and the men had a great time building a home for this precious family.

More Students to Sponsor in the Fall

As we prepare for the fall school year, we have accepted 4 more students into our student sponsorship program. We continue to see an increase in applications and we are privileged to help these kids continue their education and work towards a future with increased opportunities to escape the cycle of poverty. So far we have accepted an additional 2 high school and 2 college students, all who are in need of help to pay tuition, and for the high schoolers, to also buy uniforms and school supplies. If you would like to help us ensure these students have what they need to continue their education and improve their lives, you can donate online or via mail.
